Ob Hill
We hiked up Observation Hill yesterday (a 1.5 mile hike) for some amazing views. It is hard to believe that this landscape is part of earth and not some other alien world. It makes one appreciate the courage of Scott’s and Amundsen’s teams to undertake a journey through hundreds of miles of snow and bitter cold with the gear and technology that does not even come close to what he have today. Thanks to Bob for the photos.
Packing up for Bonney
Vickie and Bill, with help from Robin Ellwood, packed the syntactic foam in crates that will be airlifted by helicopter to lake Bonney. Robin is a junior high teacher and is here with a robot built by 8th grade students.

Bill, Vickie and Robin packing the syntactic foam. Four 200 lb pieces attach to the top of the robot and produce a large fraction of the buoyancy.
Awesome blog shilpa.. keep it coming.
Just finished reading all the posts.. will check often.
Waiting for observation hill photos.
